IPL Skin Rejuvenation
Photorejuvenation is a non-invasive treatment that provides an effective way to correct and treat skin damage without disruption of the skin’s surface, producing younger and healthier looking skin on the face, neck, chest and hands. It can be tailored to your individual condition and skin type, offering you a personalised and targeted treatment plan
In addition to improving uneven skin color, sun damage, facial redness (Rosacea), and pigmentation, the heat energy stimulates new collagen production beneath the skin surface, firming and rejuvenating the skin. After a series of IPL treatments at intervals spaced apart the skin will appear more luminous, brighter and smoother. The results continue to improve long after the treatment, as IPL stimulates your own natural collagen to rebuild and rejuvenate the skin. Prices start from €80 for small area to €130 for full face.
Lasers and IPL light sources gently remove unwanted hair based on the principle of selective photothermolyisis. This refers to the process whereby the characteristics of the light energy including wavelength and pulse duration are optimized to selectively cause thermal injury to the hair follicle without injuring the surrounding tissue. The light penetrates through the skin and is absorbed in the target pigment (melanin) found in the hair shaft. This causes the temperature to reach a sufficiently high level in the hair follicle so that the targeted hair structures are destroyed and regrowth is inhibited.
Acne light treatment
Acne affects 80% of people at some point in their life and can affect adults well into their 20s and 30, and some even older, and many seek drugs and antibiotics for their acne but these only tackle the symptoms and not the cause. Forma blue light technologytarget acne bacterias directly at the source leaving your skin beautifully replenished and acne free
Scientists have found that visible blue light at a wavelength of 420nm is effective in killing P. Acnes, the bacteria which causes acne.
The DermaClinic has used Blue light for many years to treat acne. this home care kit Lustre Light is the latest in Acne treatment.
How does blue light kill bacteria?
The bacteria that cause acne produce a chemical called porphyrin. When blue light at a specific wavelength is applied to this porphyrin it becomes excited. This active porphyrin has been clinically proven to destroy the bacteria.
Forma blue Light treatment harnesses the safe, blue part of the natural light spectrum and the technology has been clinically proven to eliminate the bacteria that cause spots while also being gentle on the skin.
